The active ingredients of the three herbs

ELLAGIC ACID

In nuts, vegetables, and fruits, ellagic acid was found to obstruct the production of collagen-damaging MMP enzymes and inhibit ICAM, a molecule that plays a part in inflammation.

GALIC ACID

Gallic acid is a phenolic acid found in fruits, nuts, wine, and tea. It has antioxidants and is antimicrobial.

PHOSPHORUS

One study found that l-ascorbic acid 2-phosphate, which contains phosphorus, promotes hair growth by stimulating the secretion of insulin-like growth factor-1 from dermal papilla cells. [3]

BACOSIDES

Bacosides [3] are a group of potent triterpenoid saponins that have a beneficial effect on the organism. The wound-healing activity of Bacoside-A was superior to the conventional skin ointment Nitrofurazone in several wound models [4].

Zinc

Zinc also helps in battling dandruff and other scalp conditions by offering antibacterial and antifungal properties. Zinc plays an essential role in the growth and repair of hair tissue, along with keeping the oil glands around the follicles operating.

Vitamins C

Your body needs vitamin C to create a protein known as collagen — an essential part of the hair structure. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) can act as a mild clarifying agent in shampoo and can be effective in helping remove mineral buildup accumulated on the hair's surface.

Vitamins D

Vitamin D is responsible for regulating the sebum content in the body.  A deficiency could lead to an imbalance in our scalp oil levels.

Vitamins E

Protecting your skin [5] from these potentially dangerous molecules is something you encounter every day, but vitamin E is like an invisible shield. Many skin care, cosmetic, and hair care products include it because of its calming and moisturizing effects.

FLAVONOIDS

Flavonoids are antioxidants that help reduce inflammation, redness, stress, and skin aging.
