12 ayurvedic herbs that Produce 24 Colors
The active ingredient in indigo for dyeing hair is a glycoside, a combination of glucose and Indoxyl. Indigo leaves contain this compound naturally in the form of the glycoside.
The active ingredient in henna for dyeing hair is lawsone, also known as hennotannic acid. Lawsone binds with the keratin protein found in hair to color and deeply condition it.
Amla is most often used as a color adjuster to tone down the red of henna. Vitamin C in amla powder strengthens, revitalizes, and stimulates healthy hair growth, preventing hair dyeing.
Ecliptin is the active ingredient in hair dye bhringraj leaf. Bhringraj leaves contain Wedelolactone, haritaki, and Jatamansi, which help hair retain its original color.
Manjistha root contains quinones, glycosides, iridoids, oleananes, triterpenoids, bicyclic hexapeptides, and anthraquinones. It may boost hair pigmentation. Manjistha Root contains purpurin, a natural red or yellow dye.
COLORLESS HENNA LEAF
Chrysophanic Acid makes Cassia Obovata hair dye. Chrysophanic acid, sometimes known as blond henna, is yellow in pure form and can colour hair yellow in high doses.
Brahmi leaf helps to control hair dye by protecting hair fibers, reducing dryness, dandruff, itchiness, split ends, and flakes, nourishing the scalp and hair, and soothing an overdried scalp.
METHI / FENU-GREEK SEED
The active ingredient in methi seed hair dye is typically lawsone (2-Hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone), an isomer of juglone. It is one of the oldest dyes used for hair coloring and pigmentation.
The active ingredient in hibiscus for dyeing hair is flavonoids and amino acids. These natural ingredients are necessary to produce keratin, giving violet and plum highlights to hair.
Soapnut saponins are present in Ritha. 8.74% of reetha is saponin. It's in many cosmetic and Ayurvedic goods. Saponins prevent discolouration during natural dyeing.
Shikakai is a natural ingredient that can be used to boost the coloring of your hair. Shikakai has natural foaming agents that can cleanse mildly and prolong the life of henna hair color.
Turmeric can be used as a hair dye, especially for blond and brown hair. It gives a golden blonde tone to the hair. Turmeric has also been found to help preserve hair color in some studies.

Organic hair dye is safer than Natural hair dyes
For people with hypersensitivity, dry to weak hairs problems
There are many different hair dyes you can use, but some are not good for your hair because they have chemicals that can be harmful. Henna-based dyes, made from plants, may seem natural, but they actually have metallic salts that can damage your hair. In other words, natural doesn't always mean healthy.
Radico only uses EcoCert-certified organic materials in its hair dyes. 100% natural, not 99% or 99.9%. For those with allergies or dry, brittle hair, it's important to find a product that uses only ayurvedic herbs and organic dyes.
